I don't care that she won Texas and Ohio...she still needs to drop out already. It can't possibly be good for Democrats to have this thing drag out until the summer. :(

so you don't think it matters that she has a substantial voter base in the states that democrats MUST win in order to take the general election?

as does obama. it's not like she won by anything like the 20 point margin she was supposed to take it by a few weeks ago. it wasn't a blow out by any means. and it's basically impossible for her to win the delegates mathematically, which means it would turn into a contest for the super delegates, which would just be not good.

This article sums things up pretty well: http://www.newsweek.com/id/118240.

Obama STILL has more pledged delegates, but for whatever reason, Clinton has more superdelegates. I sincerely hope the superdelegates aren't dumb enough to try to play political suicide and vote against the will of the constituents.

I also hope she doesn't pull some typically weasel-like move by petitioning for the Florida or Michigan delegates. I wouldn't put it past her, though.

Me too.

And as for the Florida and Michigan delegates, I've already heard her on TV this morning pushing for just that ("I think they should count"). It's so hypocritical and ridiculous.

All the Hilary hate makes me sad.
I don't know, part of me thinks it should be over, part of me thinks it would sad if she gave up right now, after two big wins.

I'm not hating on Hillary, I'm hating on what she's doing, if that makes any sense? She's drawing this thing out in a way that can't possibly be good for Democrats. If there was a mathematical possibility for her to win the elected delegate vote, then I'd support her decision to stay in the race...but there's not. To win she'll have to go to the superdelegates and hope they override the will of the people, which seems entirely antithetical to the idea of what democratic elections are supposed to be about.

And I will certainly agree with what I think you were implying about the Hillary hate: some of it seems way too personal and even (sometimes) sexist. I'm not a fan of that at all.

Love her or hate her, I will not vote for HRC if she pulls a coup on this nomination (either through superdelegates overriding the popular will or by her pushing for FL/MI delegates to be reinstated against party sanctions).

I'll lodge a protest vote with Nader instead.

The current incarnation of HRC and her campaign tactics are NOT something I could vote for with good conscience. Her policies may be exactly the same as Obama's and all that jazz. But being a good president is about more than technicalities. It's about having integrity and displaying positive leadership, as well.

p.s. I hate that criticism of HRC means you must hate her for superficial reasons, yet support of Obama means you must love him for superficial reasons.

How is it that the Clinton campaign has managed to thrust such blatant insults into the mainstream and no one has called them out on it?

And why can I not withhold my support from HRC for substantive, well-thought out reasons (particularly as a female & a feminist) and support Obama for more than his charming smile and winning personality?

Ughhh, America.

The more it drags on, the less attention people are paying to what the Republicans are doing. It's amazing how the media has portrayed her as the underdog and people are responding by voting for her. I thought for sure Obama would take Ohio.
