Ladies and Gentleman...I think we finally have a Democratic nominee! :)

If this were most anyone else running against Obama, they'd drop out tomorrow morning. But I bet Hillary plugs away a bit longer. Which is totally her right to do. But I think Obama would be wise to turn toward the general election race - and Senator McCain - at this point.

I love an Obama vs McCain match-up. I love it love love it. Nobody campaigns as terribly as John McCain. And nobody campaigns better than Barack Obama.

God, I hope you're right, Chad. I won't rest easily until she's reallytrulyreally out of the race.

Based on what? The Democratic primary race? Where party insiders were pressuring Clinton to tone down her campaign every single day? Or his US Senate race? Where he won the general against a psychopath?

How about John McCain winning the Republican nomination in spite of the "base"? Doesn't sound like terrible campaigning to me.

The pressure against Obama is that he has to run a fairly clean campaign and stay on issues. That's going to be difficult with Democrats salivating over non-issue politics against McCain. The pressure on McCain is that he has to run a fairly clean money campaign. We've seen both men trip up on these points.

I just think it would be unwise of you to be thinking "cake walk" at this point. Obama has never gone up against a real GOP campaign with real money behind it.
